June 18th, Last Day of First Grade

The kid's were so excited for the last day of school and start of summer vacation. We have a quiet summer ahead of us. Other than attending Karate and Swim lessons twice a week each, our weeks are free for lazy days. I believe that is how summer should be. If we want to stay in PJ's until noon, so be it. We will take day trips to the beach or to sea-glass hunt. There will be day trips to a museum or a spray park. For me, I'm happy to have a few sleep in days on my off work days and catch up on some organizing of photography files. We are hoping to get out to California on a trip to San Diego at the end of the summer. Chuck has an annual corporate meeting to attend there, and we try to make it a family trip, hook up with his family and visit Disneyland. This will be the third time the kids have gone out to San Diego. We've taken them to the SD zoo, Sea World, and Disney. They've been lucky little kids to stay at the Del Coronado as this is where the corporate meeting was once held. Until then we will catch up with chores that never seem to get complete and most importantly RELAX!
We made the teacher's 'thanks for helping me grow' bouquets.
