June Babies

The latest additions to our family have reached a year old. Our little fur babies have given us unconditional love and a boat load of laughs. Thomasina and Jasper really have made themselves at home. We couldn't be happier with our kitties.

Thomasina remains a bit shy around loud noises and strangers, but when the house is calm, she plays with her brother and seeks a cuddle. She likes to nestle and kneed my hair as if I was her Mommy's belly.
She is the softest and sweetest little girl and gets the award for prettiest kitty.

Jasper is an extrovert. He would win best personality. I swear, he can speak with his eyes and gestures making his wishes very apparent. He loves to watch, listen and sniff out the window. He is a dog-like kitty. He will come when called and roll over to get a belly rub.

Jasper and Daddy are true buds.

Jasper is very patient with Zac, who still is trying to treat his cat like a dog.

The girls here cuddling and snuggling.

Jasper really cracks me up....he is sitting like a human in the chair, just chillin'.

Here's 'Jazzy pants' sleeping with the kid on the top bunk. He loves to perch in high spots, so the kid on the top bunk benefits.

Such contentment...... it's addicting......

I think they are happy with their adopted humans, don't you?

Good bye 6, Hello 7

The kid's 7th birthday was celebrated at a nearby indoor playhouse. They had a blast. A good time was had by all. I particularly love the photos where the kids really hammed up for the camera!

There were scooters, play structures a bouncy pit and blow up slide to party it up.

The kids were wild animals, I don't think my parents knew what to make of it.

Mimi wearing a photo t-shirt of the twins at 6 months.

We had a total of 24 kids, two left early.

Everytime I look at the funny face photos, I crack up!

After splurging on a big party, we decided to give the kids one quality gift.

Cameras! Their first camera.....they are very excited. I look forward to seeing what images they capture!

June 18th, Last Day of First Grade

The kid's were so excited for the last day of school and start of summer vacation. We have a quiet summer ahead of us. Other than attending Karate and Swim lessons twice a week each, our weeks are free for lazy days. I believe that is how summer should be. If we want to stay in PJ's until noon, so be it. We will take day trips to the beach or to sea-glass hunt. There will be day trips to a museum or a spray park. For me, I'm happy to have a few sleep in days on my off work days and catch up on some organizing of photography files. We are hoping to get out to California on a trip to San Diego at the end of the summer. Chuck has an annual corporate meeting to attend there, and we try to make it a family trip, hook up with his family and visit Disneyland. This will be the third time the kids have gone out to San Diego. We've taken them to the SD zoo, Sea World, and Disney. They've been lucky little kids to stay at the Del Coronado as this is where the corporate meeting was once held. Until then we will catch up with chores that never seem to get complete and most importantly RELAX!
We made the teacher's 'thanks for helping me grow' bouquets.

Gemini Birthdays

My family has been going on Cape Ann rides since my parents honeymoon, which started in Gloucester. I can remember taking day trips to Cape Ann my whole lifetime. We have explored every possible nook and cranny of the northshore, yet none of us get sick of escaping to the coast. So, why not celebrate my Dad's and my own birthday with a little family time and seafood. I think I've driven by Hammond Castle a thousand times and maybe visited once. For Chuck and the kids, it'll be a first. So, before eats, we walked around the grounds of Hammond Castle. My main birthday request is cooperative smiles. The kids were most cooperative, the seniors, the least.
