It took a long 7 1/2 years before Zac lost a tooth. Most of the kids in his class have many of their adult teeth. It's hard to explain to a kid that his time will come, and that it is better to get them late since the adult teeth will be subjected to less wear and tear than others who get their grown up teeth early. That just doesn't matter to a kid who hasn't had a visit from the tooth fairy and lags behind the peers. He's happy to have a wiggly tooth next to the space too.....finally.
