Spring Forward

I am so behind in blogging, so here's a season of happenings come spring 2011. We attended a 20 year anniversary banquet for the kid's karate school. The kids enjoyed the desserts, pie eating contest, dancing and seeing their mentors receive awards.

The school hosted an open house. The second graders were assigned to do a biography report. Each student was assigned a famous historical American to study. They were to turn in a written report, dress as the person and be able to recite information about themselves during a 'wax museum' presentation for parents. Jackie was assigned to be Henry
Ford and Zac was assigned to be Martin Luther King, Jr.

Jackie's pottery was chosen to be displayed in the annual public school art display.

The kid's favorite part of spring is Easter's egg hunt. I think it rates as high as Christmas morning for excitement. It becomes a race to see who can find the most eggs. But in the end they dump them all in one pile to share.
